Period #3 History 7 -
We continued reading Chapter 1. We completed the first unit. We began "The Flood".
H.W.- Read Genesis Chapter 7. Study the countries and the waterways for the map. Quiz tomorrow. Continue reading chapter I to the end of page 6. Answer questions 4-6 on page 6.  Write out an explanation for "Identify" the first two.

Period #4 English Literature 7
We Started the study of  our first poem.

1. Explain a conflict and a complication in "Mama and the Graduation Present".
2. How can Katrin be shown to be selfish? (Use examples)
3. What was the "rite of passage" that Katrin went through to show that she was now "mature".

Period #5 English Grammar 7 - Grammar Quiz on Thursday - Initial Grammar rules (Using Manuscript Form), library materials, index cards and reference section.
Life skills was double double today. We continued on my life story, got caught up on Christian news, and listened to a few songs.

 On Thursday I will complete my life story and communism, and other 'isms. Switchfoot.

Period # 7 English Literature 8 
Lit Quiz Thursday. Paragraph style on the first story.
We examined more detail of the story - particularly Madame Beauchamp.
1. How is Madame Beauchamp shown to be self-centered?
2. How did Moma show  her good judgement of character and "smarts" when faced with the unscrupulous, cunning mind of the doctors wife?
3. Explain an example of irony of situation from the story.
