Period #4 Literature 7  Quiz on "A Truth Seeker" tomorrow, Thursday, April 26. This is the quiz that you were supposed to write last Friday but instead wrote the same test as you had written on the 17th. Fill in blanks and three written responses.

1.       Who was Sir Edmund Hillary and what is he known for today?
2.       Who actually headed (the team leader) the expedition to climb Mount Everest?
3.       How is mountain climbing truly seen as a team or group activity?
4.       Why was Mount Everest considered such a difficult climb?
5.       What are some necessary articles of equipment that are needed for a climb of this magnitude?
6.       What are some “complications” that occurred throughout the story that increased the excitement?
7.       Explain the statement “All was done to make sure that Hillory reached the summit.”
8.       How is Tenzing really more important than Hillory?
9.       How is the climax so anticlimactic?
10.   By using examples from the account of the climb, explain the complexity of the climb and ascent.
