1.       How can Kloochman Rock be seen as a challenging climb?

2.       What details given would lead a person to think that these young were impulsive?

3.       Why did Doug and Bill not want to take the “easy routes”?

4.       How can going down a mountain face be seen as being more dangerous than going up?

5.       Explain the “high tension” moment that happens on page 263 column “B”?

6.       Would you say that these boys were adventurous gamblers? Explain.

7.       People often don’t say the way that they really feel until it is too late. How is this seen just before Doug jumps?

8.       The next complication in the story was when they found out that they had to climb back down the face. What was the immediate problem with this and how did they resolve it?
