Chapter 7.2c Questions.

1. How did Julius Caesar and Pompey work out a deal so they both came up with a win-win political situation? How did they both benefit politically?
2. What was Caesars motivation for asking for a military posting in Gaul?
3. Explain how extensive Caesar's conquests were in Europe.
4. What did Caesar write about in  Commentarii de Bello Gallico (Tales/Stories of Gaul)?
5. Explain the story behind the saying "crossing the Rubicon".
6. What role did Caesar take as rule of Rome from 49 - 44 BC?
7. List six measures that Caesar put in place to secure his political position.
8. Explain the significance of "the Ides of March" (March 15, 44 BC).

1.       When a person feels as though they are a failure, they will often put up with a lot, including bulling, in order to have friends. Show how this is true of Stradivarius.
